OVIS ARIES/SON

Ovis Aries/Son was an exhibition at the Artel Gallery Vault in April/May of 2017. The work in the exhibition evolved from a remembrance of one of my first encounters with Art. As a child, flipping through a book, the image of Abraham's Sacrifice by Rembrandt imbued my mind and became a presence, unencumbered by a frame of reference for Art History, religious culture, or what Art should be. All the work in this exhibition started from this point of departure.
